Transparent Election Foundation of Afghanistan accomplished yet another key activity as part of the project “Increasing Young Women’s Political Engagement in Afghanistan” which predominantly focused on cherishing young Afghan women’s innate capabilities for them to be considerable political and societal actors in the country. As a follow-up to the cascade training which was conducted previously in Kabul, Nangarhar, Herat, and Balkh, forum members are therefore now expected to translate their understandings into practical and concrete steps so as to bring about long-awaited and long-aspired changes within their respective localities in across the country at large. For doing so, Transparent Election Foundation of Afghanistan rolled out the second major component of the project which is to have policy discussion/dialogue between the forum members and government officials in the four targeted provinces, where problems facing young women could be advocated for and dissected, and corrective measure and a clear road map for tackling all such issues be developed. For these policy discussions to be goal-oriented and enough effective, TEFA on December.24th.2019, held a consultation session with the forum members in all the 4 targeted provinces to discuss the topics they want to advocate for during the dialogues with the government officials, to select their speaker as panel members for the dialogues, eventually creating a clear guideline for them to follow throughout the dialogues. TEFA acknowledges these young women’s efforts and their determination for being utterly committed to manifesting women’s true value in Afghanistan, and to leverage their power for the better.
